With holiday lights everywhere, I thought it was fitting to share some of our recent adventures that have included light displays across the city and beyond. After our family Christmas tree decorating party, we drove just north of the city to the Washington, DC Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (aka the Mormon Temple or "Disney World") in Kensington, MD to see one of our favorite holiday light displays. The lights on the church grounds are nothing short of spectacular and have been breathtaking for over 25 years, which is when my parents first started bringing me as a child. Serious continuation of holiday traditions over here! As expected, the lights were amazing and the beautiful temple in the background is a sight to see. Parker loved the lights display and Ava slept. Hah! That's usually how parenthood goes; you plan something you think is exciting and amazing and the little ones are so underwhelmed... or they just... sleep. Nonetheless, Parker was happy, I was happy, and that's all that mattered! Below are some of our other favorite light shows in the area. This was only our third visit to a light display this season but we're looking forward to going to a few of our other favorites before the holiday season is over. Hope you get out to enjoy a few of these installations too, with or without your little ones!
